Run/Walk for WWCS


The 5th annual Road2Hope: Run/Walk for WWCS will be on Saturday, November 6th, 2010!

NEWS

- Refer a friend and receive an alumnimum WWCS water bottle!  Just get your friend to fill in your name when they register for the race in the "Referred by:" field.  One water bottle per participant.  Referrals do not apply to family members.

- A family rate is now available at $80/family.  Call our office at 905.387.9927 to register as a family (online registration is for individuals only).

- The finish area will be improved this year so there will be no cars to deal with, and there will be better parking for participants and spectators.

Road2Hope is an exciting run/walk of hope for Worldwide Christian Schools, in partnership with the Runner's Den in Hamilton.  Run or walk 1K, 5K, or 10K to raise awareness of and funds for the ministry of WWCS as we work to transform young hearts and minds with the Gospel message of hope through Christian education around the world.

The race will take place on the beautiful Hamilton Beach Recreation Trail.  Features along the trail include an excellent view of Lake Ontario to the north, and beautiful green spaces and wetlands to the south.  The trail forms part of the Lake Ontario Waterfront Trail, which stretches along the shore of Lake Ontario linking Hamilton to Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Incentives

  • Earn a $100 Runner's Den Gift Card for every $500 you raise! (max of 2 gift cards)
  • The top fundraiser will win free Tim Horton's coffee for a year! (must raise min $2,000)

Location & Route

The courses are in Confederation Park (free entry to the park for all participants and spectators). The 5K route is a single loop along the waterfront trail, and the service road, and the 10K route is a double loop of the same course.

Our 4th annual Run/Walk for WWCS took place on Saturday, October 31, 2009!  Over 160 participants joined the Worldwide Christian Schools Team in the 1K, 5K & 10K, raising a total of $37,654 for our ministry!  Thanks to all who supported and took part in the race - we hope to see you again this year!
